胡新华,美籍华人,博士,教授,信息与通信工程专业博士生导师;湖南理工学院特聘教授、南湖学者;物电学院先进光学研究所首席专家;天津大学客座教授、天津市创业领军人才;美国东卡罗来纳州立大学物理系教授、激光生物实验室主任;美国国家卫生院医学成像专业组研究基金评委;美国医学物理杂志特邀编委。

一、教育背景与工作经历

1982年毕业于南开大学物理专业,获理学学士学位;

1985年毕业于南开大学物理专业,获理学硕士学位;

1986年毕业于美国印第安那大学物理系,获理学硕士学位;

1991年毕业于美国加利福尼亚大学尔湾分校物理系,获理学博士学位

1992年于加利福尼亚大学尔湾分校物理系博士后出站;

1991~1994年在加利福尼亚州圣地亚哥市智能外科用激光公司任职研究员;

1995年至今在北卡罗来纳州 东卡大学物理系任职教授;

2016年至今受聘湖南理工学院南湖学者/特聘教授、先进光学研究所首席专家。

四、学术影响

以第一作者或通讯作者发表SCI论文122篇,文章他引次数2800余次,发表特邀综述文章5篇,作SPIEOSAAAMP等学术会议特邀报告21次,各项发明专利12项。2007年任Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium PIERS)学术会议生物医学分会主席;2012年任IEEE学术会议主席。自2007年起担任美国国家卫生院医学成像专业组研究基金评委2009年起担任医学物理杂志特邀编委并长期担任OSA旗下期刊特约审稿人。
